Perhaps it also has to do with the Assembla problem.Įither way, thanks for the info! At least now I have some answers. I thought it might be because it wasn't the translated version, but they list both the current version and the current translated version, so I'm curious as to why they haven't updated it, if there IS a new version. Though perhaps that version may not be out yet? I certainly haven't been able to find any links for it anywhere.

Is it's development thread on Hongfire? Because the links I followed on the one hongfire post I could find didn't seem to lead me to anywhere, though that may be my own fault for not looking closely enough I'll take the blame for that.Īs for the Assembla thing, I did see that all the links to an Assembla page were no longer available, I did not however know about the problems that they were having with that, didn't see that.Īlso, on the Referata page it says the newest release is 180313, however due to the version numbering which you said, which I did not know before thank you for enlightening me on that, 180601 should be the newest version. A lot of this info, along with helpful links and bug reporting templates, is posted in the first few posts of the latest development thread. Patches and Fixes similarly get labeled with the date, and require for the "base" version to be listed afterwards when posted there. Some of the content in the game (and the entire focus of the Katteban/Selfish fork) are against the forum's current rules in my opinion, so it'd probably be denied for that anyway.Īlso, one last factoid: The version numbers aren't normal version numbers, but rather the Year, Month, and Day of the contributor's upload. The latest updates are even MEGA uploads.Īlso, VH (and its Katteban/Selfish offshoot) has an English translation that is usually neck-and-neck with the latest stable contributions (yes, bugs are introduced by some of the contributors), but has currently hit a snag in that its Assembla was suddenly deleted by the site's administration with a warning given only after the fact. Not sure how you didn't find its development thread where updates are posted on: It's linked to on both its latest Hongfire thread and its Referata wiki. Anyway, the game does not have a Patreon or anything like that as far as I can tell, probably because there's no single static group or individual that claims ownership of all of it. It was originally created by someone going only by the moniker "313," and you can still find this first version of VH as a legacy download. I'm just curious if anyone has any info on the topic, or their own opinion on it? I'm just confused and curious about the situation, especially about the dev's and their site(?) Anyway, let me know what you all think!Ĭlick to expand.Violated Heroine is essentially open source and filled with contributions by 2ch-ers (5ch-ers?) that frequent its development thread. I'll find a link for myself, don't you worry.

I'll note this: I'm not asking for a link for the newest update, don't worry I know that I would need to post that in the requests, and even then it'd be declined because it probably wouldn't be translated. All I've found are the wiki's, which don't link to any site some forums and such and Hongfire, which has some links, but none of them to any sort of Dev Website, not that I can exactly tell.
#VIOLATED HEROINE WIKIPEDIA FREE#
I don't expect anyone to know what's going on, just wanted to throw this out there, in case someone did.Īs well, I've gotta ask, VH is supposed to be a free game right? If so, then do the dev's have like a website or patreon or tumblr or something where they post their releases or something? Not that I can check japanese websites on google, but I haven't been able to find any sort of dev site anywhere. So I'm just wondering, what's up with that? Was there a long time between releases and all the translators just sort of abandoned it? Hell, even the wiki's and the mega folders with the releases haven't been updated in a while. And, apparently, all the wiki's and translator sites haven't even touched it yet because I think there's been two updates since the one they have on the wiki's, though I'm not sure to be honest it's difficult to figure out. What I wanted to discuss was just how difficult it was for me to find out there WAS a new release. So today I was looking around to see if there was a new version of violated heroine out yet, turns out there is one, version 180601, but that's not what I'm making this thread about.
